This nifty device helps extend the life of baby and toddler vests.
So now that you know the real reason why baby vests/tops have envelope neck line wait till you hear about this clever little hack.
Vest extenders. A simple but genius creation. Vest extenders are four to five-inch pieces of cotton with poppers that increase the length of your babies vest or top.
Why we love 'em?
- Vest extenders are perfect cloth bum mums who need a bit of extra room due to the bulk of a cloth nappy.
- It's very hard to find a vest with a popper for children over the age of two so if you have a tall baby or a child who may not be potty trained for whatever reason vest extenders will give you that extra room to keep babies nappy secure.
- Or maybe you have an organic vest or customized top that cost a few pounds. You can easily get a few more wears out of it by attaching a vest extender. Nobody will even know as it will be hidden in tights, leggings or a pair of jeans.
- Of course, parents can simply go buy new vest but if you're like me, a super savvy mama, it's a simple but clever way to save a few pounds. Some of my kids have been too long for one size but not wide enough for the next size up so with vest extenders I get more bang for my buck.
