This mum was met with a big surprise after her baby was born with her method of contraception knotted in his or her hair.
This is probably the funniest thing I've seen all year.
I've no problem admitting that I've conceived two of my five kids while on contraception. Sometimes it just happens but this just takes the biscuit.
This gave me a good old giggle and you'll see why now.
After delivering her baby, one mum was met with a big surprise.
The photo uploaded to social media by Cadesia Foster shows a baby fresh from the womb with a coil knotted into his or her hair.
You literally couldn't make this up.
The babies hair is wrapped around the IUD so tightly that the contraceptive device looks like a little clip in the newborn's hair.
The irony.
Foster captioned the post: "Look at this. Damn IUD sitting on this baby head like a Bobby pin. Use birth control they said."
The post which has since gone viral on Facebook has over 40k shares.
Mothers across the world are tagging friends having a good old belly laugh in the comments section.
One girl said: "That's going to be one hell of a photo for the child's 21st birthday."
While another said: "This can't be real. Please please please tell me this is photoshopped."
A third said: "This absolutely made my day, more of this please."
And to add fuel to the fire, it is not the first time it has happened.
In 2017, Lucy Hellein posted an image online of her son holding her contraceptive coil also known as an intrauterine device or IUD that was supposed to prevent her from becoming pregnant.
Lucy, who gave birth by caesarean section, told The Metro: "This was actually my third mirena, my first two worked great. I had this one inserted in August," which was just a few shorts months before she discovered she was pregnant with Dexter.
"I assumed I was only a few weeks along, but the ultrasound confirmed that I was already 18 weeks along."
"My Mirena was nowhere to be found on ultrasound so my OB assumed that it had fallen out, but I wasn’t convinced."
"Dexter was definitely meant to be."
While this may scare the living daylights out of many, try not to fret. If implanted correctly, it is one of the most effective forms of contraception. If fitted correctly, the coil is more than 99% effective lasting anything from 5 to 10 years.
