We may not even be half-way through November, but Christmas preparation has well and truly arrived.
And while we might not be eating mince pies just yet (no judgement if you already have!), we thought we'd get into the spirit of things and talk all-things Christmas movies-related.
If you've got a Netflix subscription, then here are the best new movies available for you to stream right now. Believe us, you'll be feeling Christmassy in no time.
Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey
Starting off with one for the whole family is Jingle Jangle. A musical adventure (yippee!), and a visual spectacle for all ages, this promises to be the family event of the year. Set in the town of Cobbleton, the film follows legendary toymaker Jeronicus Jangle, who is an inventor. But when his trusted apprentice steals his most prized creation, it’s up to his granddaughter to save the day.
Full of magic and wonderful inventions, the movie is a no-brainer. Plus, the movie boasts a fantastic cast. The likes of Forest Whitaker, Keegan-Michael Key, Hugh Bonneville, and even singing superstars John Legend and Ricky Martin will be stealing your hearts in this fantasy adventure.
Holidate
While not strictly a Christmas movie per se, it does have the "holiday" part in the title, so let's just go with it. Starring romance movie extraordinaire Emma Roberts, Holidate sees her play a young, single woman named Sloane, who hates the holidays. All kinds of holidays.
From Christmas to Halloween, St. Patrick's Day to Easter, she and Jackson hatch themselves the perfect plan so that they are each other's dates at all of their family events for the year. Absolute trash? Maybe. Did we watch every moment of it? Absolutely.
Christmas With The Kranks
Can Tim Allen do no wrong with it comes to a Christmas movie? In this classic Christmas movie for all of the family, the actor known for picking up Santa's job in The Santa Clause swaps roles as he plays one guy who doesn't care all that much for the season.
He and his wife - the always-brilliant Jamie Lee Curtis - have to make last-minute plans for a Christmas Eve party when their daughter surprises them by saying she'll be coming home. Can they manage to get everything together in time? First, they'll need to find a hickory-smoked honey ham...
Operation Christmas Drop
As well as being a joyous occasion for some of us, there are also many less fortunate who continue to have a difficult time at this time of the year.
Operation Christmas Drop is one such movie which tackles this subject, by fusing together the holiday season with that of real-life happenings. Sometimes work can get in the way of the season, but when your job is to potentially "save" Christmas for those less fortunate, it makes for one thought-provoking (yet incredibly cheesy) movie.
And there's many more on the way
This is just a sampling of which Christmas movies are available to watch on Netflix right now. Arriving later this month are also The Princess Switch: Switched Again (Nov 19), Dolly Parton's Christmas On The Square (Nov 22) and The Christmas Chronicles: Part 2 (Nov 25).
