In life, we celebrate many milestones from birth announcements, birthdays and in more recent years, divorce parties but I think we can all agree this one milestone deserves more than a cake and a few cans.
And to be completely honest, I'm gutted I didn't think of it myself last week. Just like Willie Randall, my partner had a vasectomy less than a fortnight ago. His swimmers just didn't get the same pity party to commemorate the big day. The poor sod.
In a bid to show her appreciation considering her partner was getting the snip, Leah Randall decided to mark the special with a surprise bash - after all, he was "taking one for the team".
In what is now a viral post, Willie's wife uploaded actual footage of his procedure with the gory bits blurred out, of course, alongside pictures of their three adorable kids and the famous vasectomy cake.
In the hilarious social media post, she writes: "We have some exciting news...!"
In the images shared their two boys Tucker, Danner and little girl Eleanor can be seen wearing t-shirts that she purchased on Etsy with the slogan 'Swim Team Survivor' printed across the front with a date underneath. One said 2013, the other said 2015, and the third said 2017.
Leah confirmed the dates were the years the three children were born, although she said it would’ve made sense to do the years they were conceived.
Prior to his appointment, Leah gave her husband his own T-shirt with the caption "The swim team may have been cut, but the coach will never retire!" which can be seen as he undergoes what is considered a minor procedure.
The mum of three ordered the custom-made cake to be ready after his procedure complete with miniature sperm-shaped detailing alongside the words 'snip snip hooray'.
And in true fashion, each tee has it's own little white swimmer on the front.
Talking about the vasectomy, Leah told UNILAD the idea "was definitely a joint decision". They both agreed three children was enough.
"We both decided that three kids were plenty and all three are healthy at that, so there’s not much more you could ask for," she said.
And while her hubby loved the cake and captions on the excited kids' t-shirts, he really just wanted to lie down when he arrived home.
Which he did after a large serving of well-deserved cake.
