This month, there will be four brand new releases on the way into our cinema screens that are certain to keep you and your family entertained for the summer break.
The month of July will see a long-awaited Marvel superhero finally take to the big screen, and there will also be three new entries from popular movie franchises - one of which is a sequel to an iconic '90s movie starring the one and only Bugs Bunny. Here are the movies about to be released in cinemas this July.
Black Widow (12+, Out Now)
A must-see for all of the Marvel fans of the household, Black Widow will see the kick-ass Avenger finally embark on her own solo movie outing. Starring Scarlett Johansson and introducing Florence Pugh, Rachel Weisz and David Harbour into the Marvel fold, the movie is an all-out action flick which those old enough in the family will get a thrill out of. Should you wish to skip the cinema, the movie will also be available on Disney+ as part of their Premier Access feature.
Space Jam: A New Legacy (PG, July 16)
Bugs Bunny from 1996 called, and wanted us to return to the jam! That's right, the '90s movie that blended live-action, animation, and featured an all-star human and cartoon cast is finally getting a sequel movie all these years later. This time around, we'll join sports ace LeBron James who must team up with the off-the-wall Looney Tunes gang in order to defeat those nasty Goon Squad members and save his son - by playing a jaw-dropping game of basketball.
The Croods 2: A New Age (PG, July 16)
Eight years after the first entry in the series, the follow-up to The Croods is hitting our cinema screens this July. So, what happened during all that time with the world's first prehistoric family? Well, it turns out they aren't the only people on the planet these days. Join the voice cast of Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds and Nicolas Cage as they encounter the Bettermans, a family who live a much more modern lifestyle than the family is used to.
Spirit Untamed (PG, July 30)
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron was a visually stunning movie from the early 2000s, and Spirit Untamed is a spin-off from the original, also based on the popular Netflix series. Created by DreamWorks Animation, known for the likes of Shrek and How To Train Your Dragon, this is a touching tale about a young girl called Lucky and her close connection with an "untamable" horse, called Spirit.
