Phone And iPad Donations To St. James Hospital

St. James Hospital made a call out on social media for any phones or iPads that could be used to help keep their patients in touch with their families during this time. In the twitter message intern doctor Sarah Walsh asked

"Is anyone willing to donate a tablet/iPad or large screen smart phone. Staff and patients would be so very grateful"

In the twitter post Sarah kindly asked if the devices could be wiped, loaded with Skype/Zoom and be accompanied with a charger. So far the incentive has had a brilliant response with donations from places like St. Mark's Senior School in Tallaght who donated six iPads to covid wards in the hospital. Paddy Cosgrave, CEO of Web Summit, donated ten phones which were pre-loaded with Skype and phone credit so that patients could connect with their families. If you would like to get involved please contact Sarah via twitter.

Five Little Fingers, Five Little Toes

In these uncertain times a Dublin family had some fantastic news. In her Instagram post mum of one Nadia announced that their family is expecting a little bundle of joy in October 2020. The post included the cutest photograph of big brother Oscar who has been "promoted to big brother" according to his lovely t-shirt. We wish you a safe, happy and healthy pregnancy Nadia.

I Don't Have A Future In Barbering....

I thought I would include this because it seemed to give so many people a laugh on Instagram. As I said in the post, sometimes as a mother you just have an innate sense of confidence that you can do just about anything. And sometimes you are wrong.

Have you attempted to cut someone's hair during this time? We would love to see your photographs. Tag us on Instagram and we can enjoy safety in numbers.
