Being a working mom can be difficult, especially if you're a star working on a big-budget Disney+ TV series.

Sophia Di Martino, who has a main role in Marvel's newest TV series Loki - currently airing on Disney+, has shared what it was like for her to breastfeed the newest addition to her family while on set. Luckily for her, it appears the wardrobe department made her experience all the easier.

In Loki, Sophia plays the role of Sylvie opposite Tom Hiddleston's title character, and the star had welcomed her new baby in November 2019, a few months before filming on the series began.

Taking to Twitter, the actor shared an image of how her costume was adapted to help with breastfeeding her young child. In the picture below, you can see that well-known costume designer Christine Wada added zips to her costume so that she could "pump easily", which Sophia says made it possible for her to work on an active film set while also being a breastfeeding parent.

She wrote: "It’s not easy being a working Mama! Genius [costume designer Christine Wada] designed Sylvie’s costume & added concealed zippers so I could pump easily & nurse my baby between takes.

"Little (big) things like this that made it possible for me to do my job & be a parent. I’m forever grateful [love heart emoji]."

Here is the picture of the star in her costume which was adapted especially for her breastfeeding needs.

Many Twitter users commented positive reactions to her post, with one person writing: "That's brilliant! So important that mamas who nurse their babies are given the opportunity of doing so, and then to have a costume designer design this for you is awesome."

While another said: "I love this. It's things like this that show why it's so important to have women out here making decisions that affect other women!"

Sophia Di Martino might be familiar to fans of the medical drama series Casualty, as she played the role of Polly Emmerson for five years. It'll be interesting to see if her character Sylvie stays around long enough in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to make it into other upcoming movies or TV series in the future.
