It's the news we've all been waiting for. This week, Minister for Health Simon Harris had an important news update for children everywhere.
The last couple of weeks have been stressful for all of us - including our kids. While they might love being off school, having their usual daily routine abruptly stopped and being asked to stay indoors, undoubtedly, must be hard on them.
Something a lot of them will be wondering right now is whether not the Easter Bunny will be coming to deliver some well-deserved surprises. Seeing as lots of people have been asked to work from home, it was a worry that the Easter Bunny would be included in this.
However, worry not! We've received word from Simon Harris that the Easter Bunny has been allowed to work this weekend. Yay! Talk about being an essential worker.
Minister for Health Simon Harris confirmed that after being checked by health care professionals, the Easter Bunny is good to go for his big weekend. However, like everyone, he must remember to wash his hands regularly (for at least 20 seconds!) and to keep his distance.
Many people were delighted at the news, with one person saying parents deserve some chocolate treats this year too:
Well, we are definitely relieved and we're sure you are too.
And to keep little hands busy this weekend, we have some super easy Easter crafts that you can see here.
If you'd like to see even more fun, stress-free activities for the whole family this April, see our #FamilyFun30 challenge here (you can also win some prizes along the way!).
Happy Easter everyone!
