The Wriggler will feature on the BBC One reality show later this week.

Is your child like a mini-tornado every time you try and change their nappy? Chances are, you've already been on the receiving end of a scream, kick, or squirt (or all three at once) while using your changing mat. There is one solution out there, however - meet The Wriggler.

Husband-and-wife team James and Aileen McCauley from Dublin are set to feature on BBC One's Dragons' Den this Thursday. Their invention The Wriggler has already earned itself a number of awards and plaudits from some of the largest independent parenting review websites in the UK. Now they plan on securing investment from the devilish dragons.

The idea for the McCauley's own product came to them while experiencing quite the baby changing challenge with their young son. The Wriggler is an anti-roll portable baby-changing mat specially designed for babies and toddlers who wriggle and writhe during their nappy change. It also looks super child-friendly, with the design resembling an adorable bear character.

The Wriggler is made from premium quality, baby-safe materials. It is also fully wipeable, portable and durable enough to fold up neatly for handbags, changing bags, while at home or when you're out and about.

Speaking about their appearance on the reality show, the McCauley's said: "In our wildest dreams we never imagined that an idea dreamt up at our kitchen table could have resulted in us appearing on BBC TV on Dragons’ Den. Naturally, we were nervous about appearing before the Dragons, however, we were determined not to let our nerves get the better of us. We know we have a fantastic product and it could be a massive opportunity to bring the Wriggler to an even bigger market with the support and guidance from a Dragon."

Schoolteacher James and educational psychologist Aileen are hoping that their presentation to the five dragons will see them secure enough money for them to roll out their product globally. We wish them the best of luck!

Be sure to tune in to see Aileen and James McCauley take on the dragons on Thursday, June 3 at 8pm on BBC One.
