One mum's genius idea for making her kids clean up their clutter has gone viral and we absolutely love it.
Let us start by saying, kids are deadly. They are incredible little humans who make you laugh until you belly hurts but can equally drive you around the bend just as quick.
As a mum of four, I have many pet peeves and picking up my kids' crap is most definitely top of the list especially when it comes to my older two. Their mess can multiple in seconds and the more I clean up the more it seems to multiply.
Everything from Lego, dinosaurs, Lottie dolls, wooden blocks, jigsaws, toy soldiers and Duplo. It is never-ending.
However, now that is all about to change thanks to a clever parenting hack doing the rounds on social media. Yes, you've read that right, my life is about to change.
One mum's genius idea for making her kids clean up their clutter has gone viral and we absolutely love it.
Jessica McGinty introduced a 'fucket bucket' system as a solution for messy kids and she is calling all parents to start implementing it too.
Alongside an image of five brightly coloured buckets filled with toys, Jessica wrote: "If they leave it laying around, it goes in their bucket. If it’s still there at bedtime it goes in the bin because fucket if I’m cleaning it up."
And the game-changer hack for households of smallies is going down well on social media with parents.
One mum wrote: "Great idea tomorrow I’m getting one for my Gs and going to implement this as I’m sick of my own voice constantly saying clean up your mess."
While another said: "I had these under the stairs in our old house, but only dumped them at the end of each week to give the kids time to think about where they left things and to retrieve them for themselves."
The post has received over 44K likes, 41K comments and 29K shares so it's safe to say 'fucket buckets' will be finding their way into many homes in the coming weeks including my own.
