Christmas can be incredibly hard for some families, especially when not everyone can be together on the big day.
Something that Stephanie Lynn knows about all too well. Stephanie’s husband, Brent, is likely to be working this Christmas day and so the family has decided to celebrate on the 24th when they will all be together.
But what about Santa deliveries? Surely he only arrives on the 25th, right? Well, no, because Stephanie has written a very special letter from Santa about setting an alternative delivery date.
“A jolly greeting to you from the North Pole,” the letter which Stephanie posted on Facebook reads.
“Christmas is fast approaching and we’re all hard at work preparing for the big night. You surely know that every December 25th I visit children around the world, spreading holiday cheer. But did you know I make other, special trips for children just like you?
“I’ve only sent this message to a special group of kids around the world – kids of military members and first responders. I know sometimes your mom or dad can’t be home on Christmas Day because they’re working – keeping us safe and healthy.

"Christmas is about family, and even though your mom or dad will be working hard on the 25th, I want your whole family to have a very special Christmas morning together.”
At the end of the letter, Santa shares the special delivery date that he will deliver the presents when all the family are together.

Continuing, the letter says that Christmas Day is not about any particular date on the calendar. Instead, it is about “the feeling we keep I our hearts”
The letter was such a success with parents , that Stephanie has written one to help as many families from various backgrounds celebrate the magic of Christmas.
“Thank you to everyone who has commented here. I appreciate that you have many different family situations, but I simply cannot accommodate everyone with personalised letters. I have added a few extra links, including hospital personnel, pilots, divorced families, and "general use," which I hope will help many of you.”
What a beautiful letter. A great way to ensure that the whole family can be toegterh on Christmas day, if if it’s not on the 25th.
