Christmas is about to get even more magical!
Yes, it’s still summer, but we love any excuse to get excited about the most wonderful time of the year. This Christmas, as well as watching 'The Late Late Toy Show' on TV, you can also nab yourself tickets to see 'Toy Show the Musical' on stage. The musical will be held in the Auditorium of the Convention Centre Dublin (CCD) from December 10 to 31, and tickets start at €25.
When I first heard about the concept I was a little sceptical; would the production really be able to contend with pantos which are so popular in December? However, when I heard that Grammy-nominated composer and performer RuthAnne Cunningham was recruited to be the songwriter for the show, I snapped us up four tickets immediately. We’re all a huge fan of musicals, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the rest of the songs will be as amazing as "All The Same", which debuted on 'The Late Late Show'.
This Christmas, Toy Show The Musical comes to the theatre stage! Step inside one little girl's Toy Show adventure as she & her family prepare for the biggest night of their lives.

Do you want even more exciting news?
Producers are on the hunt for a child to play the lead role of Nell, who they describe as "bright and brilliant" and who has "a wonderful spirit and great singing and dancing skills". If you have a budding performer in your family, who knows, this could be their chance to shine!
So, do we have any clues on what the central storyline will be?
The official blurb tells us that we’ll join Nell’s family as they "prepare for the biggest night of their lives". They go on to reveal that it's a story about "family, tradition and how the magic of the 'Toy Show' brings the whole world together each year for one truly amazing night".
The only thing left to work out is, can we wear our 'Late Late Toy Show' pyjamas to the show, will they be serving hot chocolate with marshmallows, and will the kids be able to buy toys there?
Slightly worryingly, they do say that on the night "the children are in charge", so us adults better watch out!
