It doesn't have to be all doom and gloom, and learning should definitely be a fun experience.
And you know after spending six to seven hours in a classroom, it can be hard to get the kids excited about sitting down to do more work when they're home.
However, getting creative can all be a part of learning too... so we've come up with ways you can help build excitement about homework time!
- Make a colourful workstation
- Give rewards when they're complete
- Praise your kids for their amazingness
- Establish a homework routine
- Let them decide when their homework time is
- Encourage technology - we know it sounds bizarre but it works if you let them use their laptop or iPad to enhance their learning.
- Responsibility - make it theirs. It will help your kids see the direct results of their actions.
