We could all do with a hug from our families these days. Luckily, we have the perfect craft to help you feel a little bit closer to your loved ones.
I think if you ask people what they're missing during these crazy times, a lot of them will have hugs pretty high on their list. Hugs from their friends, hugs from their parents, hugs from their grandkids - everyone will be getting a hug once quarantine is over!
If you know that your kids have been missing someone special in their lives, then we have a gorgeous craft that will help to bridge the gap between you and your loved ones.
We saw this brilliant idea on the Rutherford County- Mid Cumberland CCR&R Facebook page and we absolutely love it.
It's called "Mail-a-hug", but you don't have to "mail" it, you can just take a picture of the piece and send it to whoever you like.
You simply get your child to lay flat with their arms outstretched on a long piece of paper. You trace around them, then they can colour it in and voilĂ ! Your very own hug.
The next time you're dropping essentials off at your loved one's doorstep you can (safely) include this in your package. If it is not safe or within the current restrictions to do so, you could always take a picture and send it to everyone your child would like to give a big hug to once all of this is over.
We think this is a gorgeous way to give everyone a boost during this lonely time for many. Plus, it's a great way to keep the little ones busy for a little while!
