Is your child always asking you life's big questions? "Why is the sky blue?", "How come people float in space?", "How are robots made?"

If your child is fascinated by the wonders of the world around them, they will be in their element at Arnotts, STEM event. The event will be held in the Lower Ground Level of Arnotts on Saturday the 13th of October from 10.30am – 4pm.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The system integrates concepts, which are usually taught as separate subjects and emphasises the application of knowledge to real-life situations.

This teaching method has so many benefits, including enhancing problem-solving skills, instilling creativity and innovation, teaching teamwork skills and building perseverance and determination.

To celebrate the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths for our little ones, Arnotts is hosting their very own STEM event on the 13th of October.

The Arnotts Childrenswear Department will be transformed into the ultimate family destination where education and fun will be combined for a really enjoyable day out for the whole family!

Dr. Jennifer Cleary, science extraordinaire will be on hand to showcase wacky experiments and fun science tricks.

Dr. Jennifer is a presenter on RTÉ 2's Insiders and 'Science Week Daily' and loves playing with anything gooey or gross, which budding scientists are sure to be intrigued by. Dr. Jennifer will be on stage at 12 pm, 1.30pm and 3pm.

Irish Space Advocate Dr. Niamh Shaw, will also be at the event. She will share tales of her space training adventures, along with her crew member Stargazer Lottie.

Dr. Niamh was recently voted one of Ireland's leading science communicators, and is renowned as a STEM specialist. You can visit Niamh at 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm.

In addition to these two amazing guests, little ones can enjoy interactive workshops with Djeco Arts and Crafts, which will help them unleash their creative side and encourage innovation!

The Trinity Walton Club, which is a unique learning hub set up to spark curiosity and ignite innovation, will also be at STEM and will engage children's imagination and teach them how to build robotics and create code in a way that is seen as fun and exciting.

Last but not least, the kids can also check out Head-U puzzles, which will challenge them to try new ways of learning and playing with jigsaws.
