Of course, this will only work if you have your baby around the time of Halloween otherwise people may think you are quite silly, but who cares? Naming your baby something inspired from Halloween is fun!
Here are some boys' and girls’ names that are Halloween inspired:
Boys
- Michael as in Michael Myers, from the well-known “Halloween” franchise movies – which is having another revival this year!
- Freddy as in the scary Freddy Krueger, from “A Nightmare on Elm Street” which is one of those “must see” movies at Halloween time.
- Jason from “Friday the 13th” is another scare fest but this name is lovely.
- Damien is the name of the central character in “The Omen” which is kind of scary and proper disturbing. So much so, many people have refrained from calling their child this!
- Cain from “The Exorcism of Emily Rose” is a cool name too.
- Casper may not instil fear as he is “Casper the Friendly Ghost” but the name is nice and ideal for parents who aren’t into too much gore.
- Norman is well-known due to his turn in “Psycho”
- Michah is quite unique and is from “Paranormal Activity” so if you are incredibly brave, this may work for you.
- Rustin from “The Blair Witch Project.”
- Edward isn’t very scary, but it is the name of the vampire in “Twilight” and as a boy name it is rather cute too.
- Emmett again from the famous “Twilight” series of books and movies is quite endearing.
- Jasper is the shy vampire in “Twilight” and we love this name in the office.
- Laurent, again from the “Twilight” series.
- Harry from you know what? “Harry Potter,” of course!
- Eric was a bad vampire in the “True Blood” series.

- Wednesday is the weird (but funny) kid in “The Addams Family” but it is a great name.
- Regan is a name from “The Exorcist” and this may not be the choice for the faint-hearted.
- Katarina from “Sleepy Hollow” is a beautiful name and we love it.
- Riley is a cool, edgy name for your little girl and it was made famous in “Aliens” the rather famous movie.
- Carol Anne is the name of the girl in “Poltergeist” and Carol has always been a popular name.
- Sydney is a great name and it is from the movie “Scream” that was hugely successful.
- Samantha is a sweet name from the equally sweet but magical “Bewitched” series and movie.
- Sabrina again is lovely and sweet from the TV series “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch” which apparently, is coming back soon!
- Galina is from the famous stage show “Wicked” and it is different.
- Piper was made famous in the TV series “Charmed” and it is a name that remains popular.
- Paige again from “Charmed” is a nice name too.
- Willow was the smart girl turned witch in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and it really is a lovely name too.
- Storm is a brave woman in “X Men” and the name is certainly daring.
- Buffy from yes, you guessed it “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and wasn’t she the perfect best friend for kids of the 90’s.
- Raven is completely unique, and it is from “X Men” which is known for cool names and great characters.
