Scalpwood Nurseries, Dublin
Whatever the weather Scalpwood Nurseries located in Kilternan, Co. Dublin, invite families across Ireland to experience picking their own pumpkin to bring home, or opt to carve it on site at the big barn. A fun filled day with lots of fun activities to be had including blackboards, little tables and chairs with crayons to colour Spookley prints, a Spookley maze and for the older kids, a Haunted Witches room. Booking is essential.
Alright Pumpkin, Meath
Alright Pumkpin is Ireland largest pumpkin patch with pumpkins as far as the eye can see. Make your way through the magical maze to find the perfect carving pumpkin this Halloween. Alright Pumpkin opens every weekend throughout October and no booking is required.

Ladyrath Lane, Meath
Ladyrath Lane is a family run business trading in outhouses and renovated sheds but they are most famous for their annual Pumpkin Patch. They have changed the set up a little this year. Tickets are €10.50 per child which includes 3 hours on bouncy castles, inflated obstacle courses, face painting, stories with the Wicked Witch, a playground, indoor activities and of course each paying child gets to pick and carve their own pumpkin. There is no charge for adults, parking is free and they have a fab little cafe on site if you are feeling a little nibblish.
Keanes Garden Centre, Galway
Each year Keanes Garden Centre in Kilcolgan, Co. Galway has a pumpkin festival. Here you can pick your own pumpkin, carve it, enjoy a light bite in the witches kitchen and lots of other tricks and treats yet to be announced throughout the experience. 
The Farm Grenagh, Cork
Help Good Witch, Esmeralda, to practice her spells and make sweet treats to take home this Halloween. At the farm, there are lots of pumpkins to choose from hidden throughout the on the farm. Activities include pumpkin carving, making witches hats, broom races for the adults, scavenger hunts, storytelling and colouring. The pumpkin patch opens October 27th and booking is essential. 
Ballycross Apple Farm, Wexford
Low flying witches will be found at Ballycross Apple Farm as they prepare for all the ghost and goblins to take over their farm. Visitors are invited to take a spellbinding walk through their woodlands to the Witches Village and take in the sights or hitch a ride to the pumpkin patch on their tractor and trailer (extra charge of €1.50 p/p) to pick the perfect pumpkin to buy and take home for carving this Halloween. Normal entrance fees apply and pumpkin prices vary by size.
Kilkenny Pumpkin Patch
Last year Folly Guest House & Farm teamed up with Hughes Farming to create Kilkenny's first pumpkin picking patch. Kids big and small are invited to park their broomsticks and dance their way through the scarecrows and witches to pick a pumpkin. There are lots fo fabulous photo opportunities and some old school Halloween party games to be played. The Folly is located just off the ring road behind Woodies. Kilkenny Pumpkin Patch opens from October 13th to 31st. No booking is required and wellies are essential.
