Musicals, musicals, everyone loves a musical, right? But have you introduced your children to all of these yet?
Family musicals are a great way to have everyone in the household singing and dancing along, even if you've already seen the movie 100 times!
Whether you're in the mood for a classic or a more contemporary musical number to watch, we've got everything covered for your movie-watching afternoon.
Disney Classics (Disney+)
With so many Disney classics available on Disney+, we just couldn't force ourselves to choose only one - so we'll let you decide on that one. From Jungle Book, to Beauty and the Beast and even more recent offerings such as Moana and Coco, there is quite the collection for you to get through. Why not make a list of every movie, and watch one each weekend?
Over The Moon (Netflix)
If Oscar-nominated animations are your thing, then you need to watch this beautiful production on Netflix. Over The Moon is about a young girl who dreams of building a rocket to send her to the moon in order to prove the existence of a legendary Moon Goddess. Does she make it all the way there? You're just going to have to watch it to see what happens.
The Wizard Of Oz (Sky Cinema & NOW)
Follow the yellow-brick road is a great mantra to live by, as is helping out your friends when they're in need. No matter what age you are, The Wizard of Oz has a very special place in all of our hearts. Still holding up 82 years after it was first released, be sure to introduce your children to this timeless masterpiece if you've yet to do so.
Annie (Netflix)
Whether you're looking for the 1982 original or the 2014 remake, both versions are available to watch on Netflix. The story about an orphan girl longing to meet her parents is both emotional and very comical - perfect for an uplifting watch on a rainy afternoon at home.
The Sound Of Music (Disney+)
The hills are alive with the sound of music... One of our all-time favourites that we can watch any time of the year is this Julie Andrews classic. Free up an afternoon, get those snacks out, and introduce your children to one of the most well-known musicals of all time.
Shrek The Musical (Netflix)
We're all very much missing being able to head to the panto or the theatre, and so when Shrek the Musical was released on Netflix recently, we were overjoyed. One of our favourite Dreamworks animations, but this time in a live musical form? We're nearly as excited as Donkey is to have met a smelly, green ogre!
