The charity single project, COVIDAID Ireland launched today in order to raise vital funds for Age Action and Irish Redcross Hardship Fund.

The charities have welcomed RTE correspondent Fergal Bowers' COVIDAID Ireland initiative, saying that without the single they would have struggled to raise funds for their hardship fund at this difficult time.
The fund was put in place to help older, vulnerable people who had been experiencing financial burden due to the Covid-19 crisis. This is an urgent appeal to raise €250,000 which is required just to meet the current demand.
So how can you help? You can spread the word and download the brand new charity single 'On Horseback', available on iTunes, Google Play and all digital platforms for just €1.29.
The single was put together by Fergal Bowers and produced by Gary Grant, and was recorded remotely with social distancing measures and features a children's choir and Kerry singer Gemma Goodey.
The single is a reimagined version of the 1975 song by Mike Oldfield and was specifically chosen to inspire people to band together and support each other throughout this trying time.
Through their terrific sponsor UniFlu, all funds generated from the download of the song to go directly to the hardship fund.
