This is a brilliant initiative for those who want to get more cyber-savvy.
If you're a parent, the online world can seem like a bit of a big scary mystery. Through our work with CyberSafeIreland on our Online Wellbeing Family Guide, we've learned that with the right information and tools, we can really make a difference to how we and our children interact with the internet and social media and really, it doesn't have to be scary at all.
Our partners CyberSafeIreland have announced that they are launching a fantastic CyberSafe Bootcamp to brush up on your cyber safety knowledge.
The online bootcamp is for the entire family and will consist of five information-packed live webinars that you can tune into at 11:30am each day from Monday to Friday every week.
Each webinar will be led by a CyberSafeIreland trainer, aimed at children from 3rd to 6th class.
CyberSafeIreland said:
"The sessions will focus on how to be safe and secure online, communicate more effectively, think critically about (mis)information and leave a positive digital footprint."
Since our kids may be spending a bit more time than usual on their devices since lockdown, we think this is a brilliant opportunity to acquire all the information you need to help your children to safely navigate the online world.
The cost is €20 per family. For more information, email [email protected].
