Nominations are now open for Irish healthcare workers who have gone above and beyond in 2020.
Irish brand WaterWipes has launched the first Pure Foundation Fund in acknowledgement of the excellent Irish midwives and nurses across the country. And after the year we've been having, I'm sure you will do your bit to help nominate a worthy candidate.
Supported by the Irish Nurses & Midwives Organisation (INMO) and the Irish Neonatal Health Alliance (INHA), this new bursary scheme will recognise the incredible labour of our hardworking medical workers.
WaterWipes has created the bursary following the tumultuous year 2020 has been for healthcare workers up and down the country. And the dedication of our healthcare heroes has been an incredibly important part of our society more than ever.
The fund, totalling €5,000, will be awarded to two outstanding midwives in Ireland. The scheme is also open to nurses specifically involved in all aspects of baby and infant care.
Each winner will receive €2,500 for their department to advance the care of parents and babies through a range of options. These include the purchase of equipment, resources for parents, training, and support further research. It is such a worthy scheme, so here is how you can do your bit.
Nominations are now open, and can be made by new or expectant parents. Healthcare colleagues can also nominate a colleague, or there is also the option of self-nomination too.
For the first Pure Foundation Fund Award, WaterWipes is calling on midwives and nurses to tell their stories of how they have gone above and beyond, or how they have been inspired by the dedication of a colleague or a team of colleagues.
While the second award asks new or expectant parents to nominate a midwife or nurse who provided outstanding care and support during their personal pre or post-pregnancy journey. The parent or expectant parent who nominates the winning midwife or nurse will also receive a six month supply of WaterWipes.
To nominate, all you have to do is head over to the WaterWipes website (by clicking here) and fill out the online application form.
