Just when we thought we couldn't love Keanu Reeves anymore than we already do.
It's safe to say most parents hope for a strong and happy relationship with their kids as they get older - that they remember where they came from after they fly the nest and achieve great things.
My own mother often jokes that we'll bring her to a big award ceremony when we - my siblings and I - all achieve the height of fame and fortune.
This is exactly what happened at last night's Oscars when Keanu Reeves took his own mother, costume designer Patricia Taylor, as his date for the evening.
The adorable duo appeared in arm in arm on the red carpet on Sunday night, with Keanu Reeves dressed in a slick black tuxedo while his mother wore a chic, all-white tailored tuxedo with a diamond choker.
Twitter users were quick to comment on the pair, with many saying that coolness must simply run in the family.
One user said, "Now we see where Keanu Reeves got his super cool chic from - his mother costume designer Patricia Talor. #Oscars2020"
It's wonderful to see such a positive mother-son relationship in the public eye - and they weren't the only celebs who chose to honour their mums at this year's Oscars.
Charlize Theron and Laura Dern also brought their mums along as their date to the ceremony, as pointed out by this Twitter user.
"With everyone focusing on the winners at #Oscars20, take a moment to acknowledge Charlize Theron, Keanu Reeves and Laura Dern.
Why?
Because they could've brought anyone they wanted with them to the Red Carpet - and they chose to bring their moms."
So, it's clear that family was definitely on the mind at this year's Oscars. Here's hoping our own kids follow suit someday!
