Here are some new movies you and your family can watch during your downtime this weekend.
The June Bank Holiday weekend is here! Hopefully, the sun will continue to shine for us so we can enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. But, if the weather should turn, and you find yourself indoors, then it's worth knowing what new movies this bank holiday weekend has in store for you.
We've chosen five new releases that are available if you have an on demand subscription (just before the cinemas open up next week!).
Raya and the Last Dragon (Disney+)
In case you didn't pay for Premiere Access earlier this year, the Disney Animation is now available to all Disney+ subscribers. Raya and the Last Dragon is quite a spellbinding movie, full of wonder, magic, and hilarious characters. Before the movie begins, there's also a brilliant new short animation to watch. Us Again is an animation that features people dancing in New York City, and is a wholesome, exciting watch for all.
Riverdance: The Animated Adventure (Sky & NOW)
The first Irish animated movie on our screens since the jaw-dropping Wolfwalkers from Cartoon Saloon last year, Riverdance: The Animated Adventure is a movie created by Sky Studios and is one little ones will love. All about Irish music, Irish dancing, and the use of your imagination, it's one to tune into if you haven't done so already.
Spider-Man: Far From Home (Netflix)
One for Marvel fans of all ages, Spider-Man: Far From Home sees the wall-climber take on his most dastardly nemesis yet. While on a school trip around Europe with his friends, Peter Parker must attempt to stop a group of mysterious elemental creatures from wreaking havoc. Can't a young superhero have just one week off from saving the world? Apparently not!
Detective Pikachu (Amazon Prime)
If there aren't any Marvel fans in your house, chances are there's a Pokemon fan for sure. Whatever your age, you'll be able to appreciate the hilarious and action-packed Detective Pikachu - who would have thought that the little Pokemon could get any cuter? With Ryan Reynolds providing the voice of the little yellow ball, this movie is both laugh-out-loud funny, and very touching too.
Dog Gone Trouble (Netflix)
A new entry to Netflix is this cute animation featuring a pampered dog who's given one huge wake-up call. The animation adventure sees the pup named Trouble learn to live in the real world following the death of his elderly owner. Will he be able to escape from his former owner's greedy children? We're not going to spoil it for you!
