If you haven't managed to get yourself to the cinema in recent memory because you've just had a little one, then don't worry - you're not alone. One of Dublin's swankiest cinemas is launching its very own screening for parents who don't mind if there's a little bit more commotion going on around them while they watch the newest releases.
Stella Cinema in Rathmines is levelling up its baby-friendly offerings from this March onwards as it launches a Baby on Board screening for new parents from Tuesday, March 1.
Taking place once each week, this new screening will offer new parents and their babies a comfortable, stress-free environment to sit back and enjoy the latest films in the plush surroundings of Stella Rathmines.
As part of the experience, lights will be kept at a dimmed level throughout the feature and the volume will be reduced to ensure comfort for parents and their little ones.
Tickets are priced from €19 each and as well as a ticket to the latest releases (week one on Tuesday, March 1 will be 'Cyrano' starring Peter Dinklage), you will also get a complimentary tea or coffee and delicious pastry from the Stella Diner. These screenings also offer new parents a place to meet and socialise, perfect if you've been cooped up in the house with your new addition.
The Baby on Board screening isn't the only addition to Stella Cinema in Rathmines for the family over the coming weeks. Especially for the upcoming midterm break, extra screenings of 'Sing 2' and 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' will be shown from Monday to Sunday, February 21 - 27.
Stella Cinema Rathmines will also launch weekly subtitled screenings every Thursday afternoon, starting with 'Cyrano' on Thursday, March 3. These special screenings are catered for the deaf and hard of hearing community, as well as cinema-goers who are looking to improve their English language skills.
