As parents, we all know how hard it is trying to get the kids ready for school. From trying to locate the missing sock, to ensuring no one forgets their lunchbox, it can all be incredibly hectic.
And there are a lot of things to tick off a long list every morning.
43 things to be precise. Well, that's according to a new study of over 2,000 mums and dads by Kellogg’s.
The things mums and dads have to do before they've even left the house range from getting kids up and out the door, brushing teeth, packing school bags, filling out permission slips and making brekkie.
And ticking these things off the list is time-consuming.
Two hours according to the same study. That’s 10 hours a week. Which works out as the same time you would spend in the office on an average day. Actually, it’s more... give or take an hour or two.
No matter how organised you are the night before, something always comes up that morning. Whether it's spilt milk on a clean uniform, a missed alarm or a sibling fight, getting out of the house is never easy - no matter how much you may prepare the night before.
And whlie the study is certainly interesting it just puts numbers on something we already knew – that mornings are incredibly stressful.
