The argument has been settled once and for all as to which Christmas title is the best. And the answer may surprise you.
To create the ultimate family Christmas movies list, many factors were analysed to give the most accurate of readings. This includes the IMDB audience rating, the Metacritic critic rating, and finally box office revenue.
Here are the top ten movies, according to Electric Ride On Cars.
10 - The Santa Clause
Beginning the list of the best family Christmas movies is the one and only Tim Allen as Scott Calvin. Begrudgingly delivering all of Santa's toys in one night, little does the businessman know just what he has gotten himself in for when he puts on that red suit.
9 - A Christmas Carol
The Jim Carey animation is the first of two entries about the infamous anti-Christmas man, Scrooge. Based on the Charles Dickens book of the same name, the movie is an important watch for those of us who might not be feeling all-that Christmassy this time of the year.
8 - Home Alone
What would Christmas be without little Kevin McCallister? A firm favourite to watch every year is Home Alone - and why stop there? The sequel Home Alone 2: Lost In New York is also a treat for the whole family too.

6 - Elf
If you haven't watched the ultimate feel-good Christmas comedy Elf this year, then now is the time. The Will Ferrell caper sees an adult-sized "elf" venture to New York City in order to meet his real father. A very touching, and hilarious, coming-of-age Christmas tale if ever there was one.
5 - The Muppets Christmas Carol

Anything with Tom Hanks and we are sold. The Polar Express is the second animated to feature on this top 10 list, and the storyline follows children who board a magical train to the North Pole to see the man himself.
3 - Arthur Christmas

2 - A Christmas Story
Possibly one of the most unfamiliar entry on the list is this 1983 movie. A Christmas Story is a charming film about 9-year-old Ralphie Parker, who tries convince his parents, his teacher, and even Santa that a Red Ryder BB gun is the perfect Christmas gift.
