The singer took to Instagram this afternoon to share the news with his followers, writing:
“Thanks for all the Birthday wishes everyone!!
"It really makes this my most special birthday EVER to let everyone know that later this year we will become Dads for the first time.
"This is the proudest moment of our lives and we are beyond excited to say it out loud! M&Cx"
Fans from all over the world have been sending congratulations to the 39-year-old singer and his partner, Cailean.
“Wow congratulations, Mark and Cailean, you two will make a great dad. What a lucky baby to have you both as parents. Can't wait to hear more about this awesome news,” wrote one.
Another simply wrote: "omfggggg I’m crying!"
The 39-year-old has been in a five-year relationship with his partner, Cailean, who he kept private until the couple announced their engagement at the start of this year.
Congratulations to the happy pair - we're delighted for them.
