If you are looking to while away a Saturday night with the kids and some popcorn, here are seven movies that the whole family will love.
With the evenings getting colder and darker, October is the perfect excuse to snuggle on the couch with the kids and enjoy some downtime.
And what better way to enjoy that time than watching a classic (or maybe not so classic) Halloween movie?
If you are looking to while away a Saturday night with the kids and some popcorn, here are seven movies that the whole family will love.
The Addams Family
Maybe one for the older kids, this movie is a true Halloween classic. In this film, the spooky Addams family are trying to determine if a member of the family, Fester is actually, who he says he is.
Monsters Vs Aliens
OK, it’s not exactly a classic Halloween flick but it’s got enough monsters and aliens for us to be able to pop it in here. A great movie about overcoming challenges and learning to accept who you are.
Ghostbusters
Is there something strange in your neighbourhood? Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! A classic movie that follows a group of parapsychologists who have to save the world from ghosts.
Corpse Bride
In this Oscar-nominated movie, a young man accidentally ends up marrying a ghost and things just get weirder from there! A classic Tim Burton-style movie, this one is suitable for older kids.
Goosebumps
Based on R.L. Stine’s best-selling books, a boy named Zach accidentally lets a number of imaginary monsters loose from one of the books. This movie is actually a little bit scary so should definitely be kept for the older kids.
Hocus Pocus
Again another one for the older kids, it’s definitely a classic that is watched ritually by many every Halloween.
Hotel Transylvania
Dracula owns a popular and busy monster hotel in Transylvania. But when a human boy ends up at his door and falls in love with his daughter, Dracula becomes very protective. A good one for the whole family.
