Christmas is coming up soon, and with less than a month to go, you might be feeling stuck for stocking filler gifts for those in your life.
This year has shown us all just how important it is to shop local. Here are five stocking stuffer ideas, that won’t break the bank, but will support Irish companies too!
A trendy mask for everyone
The most 2020 of gifts is a nice mask. Had anyone handed us one of these for Christmas 2019, they’d probably have gotten a strange look, but this year they’re the accessory du jour. Sadbh’s Masks are Dublin based and have some gorgeous designs, all triple-layered and 100% cotton. There are some gorgeous patterns in 100% cotton for €7.50, or Liberty London print masks available for €15. They’ll put a smile on the recipients face visible even through their mask!
Best hair day gifts
While our mask-wearing puts lipsticks out of the running for most people this year, there’s nothing to stop you having gorgeous shiny hair! Cork based LUNA by Lisa Jordan has this lovely Mini Hair Bundle for €14 which will allow the recipient to try out the LUNA by Lisa Jordan range and pamper themselves this Christmas!
Bamboo socks
Socks might seem like an obvious gift, but these colourful beauties from Waterford company Polly and Andy are something else! Designed with sensory issues in mind, these bamboo socks are super soft, cooling and you can also feel smug about their sustainability. They’re also kid-proof with reinforced toes and heels! Each pair is €7-9 so a really affordable colourful gift.
Pick and mix food
Galway’s family-run Gran Grans Foods have beautifully packaged foodie must-haves for Christmas in their gift sets, many of which are under €15. Their Festive Pantry Essentials Gift Box allows you to pick three of their pantry essentials to be included in your gift hamper for €12.50. Or you can organise a selection of jams to be included in their Galway Mini Delights Gift Box for €12.
Cards, prints, and mugs
Wexford print company Gilly and Rob have a gorgeous selection of cards and prints; but their mugs will make a fantastic stocking stuffer this Christmas and won’t hurt your wallet! They come in a variety of prints, some suitable for the staff room; others perhaps more inclined to work from home. All guaranteed to elicit a smile, the mugs are priced at €10.50.
