We've all been binging on TV shows way more than we ever anticipated these days, and some of the characters and cast have caught our attention for having memorable names.
With the likes of Bridgerton, Schitt's Creek, and The Crown being some of our favourites to watch over the past few months, naturally, we'd want to pay tribute to some of our favourite characters as well. You never know, you might find baby name inspiration for your incoming bundle of joy too.
Here are 10 baby names inspired by some of our favourite Lockdown TV shows.
Abe - The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
One of our favourite TV shows also has a long list of names which we'd happily take for a baby name. The one that tops the list however is Abe, Miriam's level-headed father. In a world that never seems to bend to his will, Abe knows exactly what he wants and how he wants it.
Dani - The Haunting of Bly Manor
Poor Dani didn't exactly get what she bargained for when taking up a nannying job in a secluded English manor. The Netflix series was creepy and chilling, but we did love that the main character's name of Dani.
Daphne - Bridgerton
All of the extra bits aside, Bridgerton was a fantastically ambitious period drama, and we were hooked from the very first scene. Our favourite name from the series is Daphne, who is the fourth child of the Bridgerton household, and the main character of the series.
Emerald - The Crown
Four seasons in, and we're still gripped by The Crown. While the character of Camilla Parker Bowles may be troublesome, the actress who plays her has such a striking name we had to add it to our list. Emerald Fennell played Camilla in seasons three and four.
Franklin - The Undoing
Donald Sutherland's character Franklin gets caught up in all of the drama in one of 2020's most gripping thriller series, which also starred Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant.
Jolene - The Queen's Gambit
While we loved Golden Globe winner Anya Taylor-Joy's Beth, we also couldn't get enough of her best friend. Jolene, played by Moses Ingram, is a tour de force of a character who holds no prisoners, while also looking out for her friend (and being one of our favourite Dolly Parton songs to boot!).
Peggy - Normal People
Peggy in Normal People provides a nice bit of respite from the heaviness of the series. Witty, quick-thinking, and unpredictable, Irish actor India Mullen does a stellar job at portraying a character who brings one of those age-old Irish names back into the modern-day.
Stevie - Schitt's Creek
Stevie is a cute baby name that could be used for a boy or a girl. In Schitt's Creek of course, Stevie is the unapologetic and darkly humorous motel owner who is also begrudgingly on hand to help the Rose family whenever there's a crisis (pretty much all the time!).
Toby - The US Office
Another comedy series that got us through Lockdown was The US Office. Out of all of the daft characters, Toby stands out to us. Quiet yet knowledgable, Toby is the master of keeping calm while Michael Scott and the rest of the office cause anarchy around him.
Wanda - WandaVision
The Disney+ series has been a huge hit with fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Elizabeth Olsen plays Wanda, one of the most powerful members of the Avengers. She lives her life through a chaotic TV lens, and is a stand-out for all of the right reasons.
