Dog-Friendly Restaurants You Need To Visit With Your Pooch

We had a look at some of the best places to bring your pooch, and we found the following locations.

As pet owners, we know the joy that comes from spending time with our dogs, and we want to enjoy day outs. Sometimes it can be a little tricky, however, if you fancy a bite of food while you're out walking, and you're not sure where to go with your dog in tow.   So we had a look at some of the best places to bring your pooch, and found the following dog-friendly restaurants:

1. Urban Kitchen and Coffee Co., Naas, Kildare

Urban Kitchen and Coffee Co. has everything you need from a coffee shop and restaurant including cake, coffee, breakfasts and lunch menu offerings that are delicious and homely. Luckily, this beautiful place is a dog-friendly restaurant and welcomes well-behaved dogs. It is incredibly spacious too meaning it is ideal for the kids and families in general.

2. Hollywood Café, Hollywood, Wicklow

This beautiful café is a little gem and it welcomes well-behaved dogs too. They serve fresh seasonal and local produce while serving up delicious dishes. Most importantly, its wonderful location means a trip to Glendalough or Blessington lakes is possible and this will please not only doggies but your children too.

3. The Dog House Blues Tea Rooms, Howth, Dublin

The Dog House Blues Tearoom is one of Dublin’s best-kept secrets and it is a top-notch place to eat some fine food while being dog-friendly too. It serves up everything from pizza to fresh fish to cakes and to coffees so there is something for all the family. Their impressive reviews online speak for themselves and it truly seems to be a place that is much loved and therefore, you must visit!

4. Warehouse No. 1 Bistro and Café, Guildhall Street, Derry

This spot is simply amazing, and it serves up such delicious food! Whether you fancy a coffee, cake, burger or soup, their menu is perfect for all the family. They are happy to welcome well-behaved dogs in their dog-friendly café area and they have a love for the show, Derry Girls! What’s not to love?!

5. Inn on the Coast, Causeway Coast, Portrush, Antrim

This place is a pet-friendly hotel but even if you are just dropping in this could be the perfect place to rest and eat before heading off to experience the beauty of the area. If you do fancy staying overnight, ensure you book ahead as pet-friendly rooms are in demand!  They also boast a “dog -friendly” menu with delicious bistro meals. If that isn’t enough to tempt you there is a tasty menu for humans too.

6. Nine Market Square, Kinsale, Cork

This place is a nice café serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is locally sourced, and they boast great coffee and delicious pastries to name a few. Some of the dishes are not only stunning to look at but are tasty to eat too! The kids will love the muffins and pancakes while your doggie will enjoy hanging out with you! It is a winning combination.
