Our travel expert gives us some great options for Summer Holidays
Looking for some inspiration for your Summer Holiday but unsure where to take your little ones? Here are some ideas for your next break.
Holland: Fly with Ryanair to Eindhoven in under 2 hours and spend your holiday at Beekse Bergen in Hilvarenbeek. Stay in a safari tent or a mobile home and enjoy free access to the theme park. At this park you can avail of fantastic facilities including kids clubs, waterslides, water-sports, the beach or just chill by the pool.
Majorca: With a flying time of just over 2 hours Majorca has a number of family friendly resorts, safe beaches and lots of water parks, restaurants and entertainment in abundance. There are a number of all-inclusive accommodations and properties with kids clubs and entertainment. Do your research and make sure that the property you choose is age appropriate for your family and always check the ages of the kids clubs if this is important to your holiday. With flights operating out of Ireland a number of times per week during the summer it is easier to travel for odd durations and not just the typical 7 or 14 nights as was the case in the past.
France: Le Vieux Port, Messanges, Gascony and Gironde. From a pirate ship to Splash Park, a holiday here is perfect for all the family. Why not do a fly-drive, fly in to Biarritz and pick up a car on arrival. This is a large park with great on-site facilities. Lots of sports, near the beach and toddler friendly. Kids clubs and mini fun station for ages from 6 months old. For older kids there are plenty of outdoor activities and age 16+ discos as well as a family one! Kid’s discos, animation teams, kids clubs, games room, water-sports, scuba diving and many excursions that can be done from this park.
Italy: Bella Italia, Lake Garda. A firm family favourite and one that books up early. With a choice of different types of accommodation Bella Italia is a great choice for families with children aged from 4 to 16. With choices of camping, mobile homes, apartments, bungalows and the Bella Italia hotel there is a room to suit everyone. There are a number of flight options available and some really great offers if you can travel outside of peak season.
